Celebrating a Strong Start to the New Year: NDMTSS Professional Learning Highlights
Since the start of the new year, educators across our state have shown an incredible commitment to strengthening outcomes for all learners through high quality MTSS professional development. Between January and early February, a total of 16 teams representing 13 districts participated in statewide professional learning opportunities—demonstrating the shared dedication to continuous improvement, collaboration, and student-centered practices.
This professional learning cohort brought together 77 participants, including district leaders, building administrators, instructional coaches, counselors, and classroom educators. Each session was designed to deepen understanding of evidence-based practices, support implementation fidelity, and build collective capacity across the tiers of support.
Professional Learning Focus Areas Included:
- Continuing to define high quality Tier 1 Support (Desired State)
- Using data-based decision-making to refine interventions and supports (Action Planning)
- Enhancing team-based problem solving and implementation structures
- Aligning academic, behavior, and social emotional supports within a cohesive MTSS framework
Looking Ahead
As we move further into the year, we are excited to continue offering learning opportunities that empower teams to strengthen systems, deepen practice, and accelerate outcomes. Thank you to all participating districts and teams for your engagement, energy, and leadership in advancing MTSS across our state.
